Mission

Muskegon Catholic Central educates each student in spirit, mind and body by fostering personal excellence within the Catholic tradition.

Academics

Muskegon Catholic Central's academic environment is both rigorous and meaningful. Through collaboration and data-driven instruction, MCC offers a curriculum that addresses the learning needs of all students and meets state mandated standards. We add unique, student-focused and faith-based approaches that only a private Catholic school can provide. The student-centered teaching model utilized focuses on developing students into 21st century leaders, heightening their innovation, problem solving, self-direction and cross-cultural skills - all through a Catholic lens.

Faith

Beyond the classroom, MCC helps students live full lives guided by Gospel values of faith, acceptance, love, forgiveness and compassion. Our students learn about compassion for others through grade level retreats, participation in school and parish ministry and much more. These opportunities prepare students for the unique societal challenges that they will face as adults. MCC students learn about advancing God's kingdom through weekly Mass and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the sacrament of reconciliation, celebration of holy days and many service opportunities both in school and in the community. We firmly believe that MCC empowers students to lead with compassion through Christ.

Extracurriculars

We believe that many of the attributes taught in the classroom can be reinforced on the field, court, stage and beyond our walls to highlight each student's unique purpose in life. MCC offers a variety of extracurricular activities - sports programs for elementary, middle school and high school student-athletes (21 varsity sports), performance classes in band and choir, and a spring musical. Students also have the opportunity to participate in the following - National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, Student Council, Yearbook, WINGS, Quiz Bowl, MathCounts, cheerleading, and dance club.
