Interim assistant superintendent joins Office of Catholic Schools

Sarah Grey

The Office of Catholic Schools is pleased to welcome Interim Assistant Superintendent Sarah Grey. She began her new role on October 26.

Mrs. Grey has been a Catholic school teacher and leader for the last 15 years, most recently serving as an elementary school principal in the Archdiocese of Denver before moving to Grand Rapids in summer 2020. She has a bachelor’s degree in anthropology with a minor in education schooling and society, and two master’s degrees, all from Notre Dame. Her advanced degrees are both through Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE): a master’s in education through the ACE Teaching Fellows, and a master’s in educational leadership through the Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program.

Mrs. Grey steps into the interim assistant superintendent role following the departure of Mrs. Jill Annable, who is joining the National Catholic Educational Association as executive director of academic excellence.

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Grey to our alliance of Catholic schools!

Catholic schools in the Diocese of Grand Rapids are an alliance of 31 vibrant learning communities (26 elementary and five high schools) serving more than 6,000 preschool through 12th grade students throughout West Michigan. Our schools inspire young people to grow in Catholic faith and grace, achieve more in school and life, develop creativity and character, and feel welcomed and cherished for their unique gifts. We partner with parents to awaken the whole child to a world of light and life — that grows better and brighter when children reach their potential.
