San Juan Diego Academy welcomes all potential K-8 students. Parents, we want you to consider our school as the best place for your children. We are proud of our students' substantial progress – we strive not only for academic excellence, but also to instill Christian values and high expectations in our children. Our success is due in part to having parents who believe that educating their children is a partnership between home and school. When we work together, success is expected. There is no doubt our school is the best place for K-8 Latino children.
Within recent years our enrollment has increased, and we serve more than 200 students. We are grateful to Most Reverend David Walkowiak, bishop of the Diocese of Grand Rapids, and the Office of Catholic Schools for their effort in promoting access to Catholic education for our Latino families.
We encourage our Latino families to consider the benefits of Catholic education, especially at San Juan Diego Academy. Keep visiting our website and Facebook page, and you will get a glimpse of our students and their success. Talk to our current parents and students, our best ambassadors. Call the school to make an appointment, take a tour, and enroll your child. Good education is important, and with an excellent Catholic education you are making the best investment for your children.
In partnership with family, parish and the greater community, San Juan Diego Academy educates, mentors and inspires Latino children to achieve academic excellence and live their Catholic faith. SJDA graduates become cross-culturally competent servant leaders who positively influence our Church, community and the diverse global community.
At San Juan Diego Academy, we promote a "college-going culture" that encourages children to succeed in school and aspire to go to college. We have highly qualified teachers and staff who work diligently to ensure your child succeeds in language arts (reading, writing, comprehension), mathematics, science and social studies.
San Juan Diego Academy provides a caring and dedicated environment for your children to grow intellectually and spiritually. We offer opportunities for prayer at the beginning of and throughout each day, and we celebrate school Mass every Tuesday. Religious instruction is provided at every grade level, including preparation for the sacraments (reconciliation, first Communion, and confirmation).
We provide students an opportunity to build character outside of the classroom through activities such as competitive sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball), school band, Spanish, robotics, dance ensemble (ballet), Battle of the Books, spelling bees, and science fairs.
