St. Mary Spring Lake School

Thank you for your interest in St. Mary’s School. Today more than ever, it is critically important to instill an unshakeable faith and hope for the future in your child. What better way to do this than in partnership with your child’s school?

Are you interested in providing an excellent, faith-filled education for your child(ren)? At St. Mary’s School, children grow spiritually and develop a personal connection to God that will serve them for a lifetime. St. Mary’s School offers the highest quality education in a Catholic Christian environment. You will see the marvelous reality of Catholic education every day at St. Mary’s School. It is evident in the dedication and integrity of our staff, parents and volunteers. It is present in the compassion of our students when they help one another or reach out to assist our less fortunate brothers and sisters. It is evident in the life-long values that our alumni continue to embody long after they’ve graduated and what our volunteers bring to us each day when they give so selflessly of their own talents.

Our faith in every child also means no child is ever left behind. Our commitment to giving every child personal attention is a hallmark of our Catholic education. Your child will be challenged at St. Mary’s School to grow academically, spiritually, and as an individual. We moved into our new school during the fall of 2016. Beyond the excellent general educational programs, we offer a state-of–the–art computer lab, a science lab, an art room with a kiln and a music room for band and choir. Every classroom is equipped with interactive whiteboards and computers. Each middle school student is assigned a Chromebook. We also have a gymnasium with basketball and volleyball courts. Through the shared-time program with Spring Lake Public Schools and Coopersville Area Public Schools, we offer art, computer lab, physical education, Spanish, music and middle school band.

For additional information visit our school or Facebook page via the links provided below. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a time to tour the St. Mary’s School campus, contact Principal Maureen Turner at principal@slstm.org.

Please consider St. Mary’s School as the choice for your child’s education. We support your family values every day at school. Give your child the strong foundation for a lifetime of confidence, faith and service.

Faith

We celebrate our school Mass every Friday morning. We celebrate all holy days with Mass that our students attend and help lead. We begin each Monday morning as a whole school to pray and say the pledge together. We gather every Friday afternoon during Lent to recite the prayers of the Stations of the Cross. We use the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies program that connects lessons from each Sunday's Gospel throughout the liturgical year.

Extracurriculars

We have basketball teams for our 5-8 grade students. We have Boy and Girl Scouts after school. Our middle school students may participate in athletics that are offered by Spring Lake Public Schools.
