Catholic schools in the Diocese of Grand Rapids are temporarily closed to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Learning has not stopped, though.
Teachers, together with the hard work and assistance of parents, are working to provide the full value of a Catholic education. They continue introducing new content, standards, instruction and assessment according to our curriculum. This instructional material includes a variety of formats, including live online video lessons from teachers, recorded videos, reading assignments, and more.
These efforts are helping ensure that student learning continues with success while we navigate this challenge of COVID-19.
See some examples of these learning activities in the social media posts embedded below.
Don't forget - March is Reading Month! Our H&S Read-a-Thon fundraiser is still going on and these students were caught reading at home! Caught your student reading? Let us know and be sure to keep filling out those reading logs! #CometsShine #DOGRCathEd #LoveMyCatholicSchool pic.twitter.com/jnTBrLKYnf
