Enrollment Graph 2021-22

It is with great excitement that we report a record number of students in preschool and kindergarten, and an increase in the number of students 1st through 6th grade for the 2021-2022 school year. Across the 26 elementary schools and five high schools in the Diocese of Grand Rapids, preschool-12th grade enrollment for 2021-22 is 6,267, an increase of 253 students over last school year.

Additional highlights include:

  • Our Kindergarten class is the largest in 13 years, with 527 students
  • 26 of our 31 schools maintained enrollment or added more students

This year the diocese has awarded more than $555,000 in need-based Bishop’s Scholarships to approximately 1,050 students, and more than $95,000 in Welcome Scholarships to 220 new students in preschool and kindergarten.

“The ability for students to learn in-person with their teachers and peers last school year paid dividends in academic and personal growth,” said Superintendent David Faber. “I am grateful to God for the outstanding efforts of our admissions advocates, families, faculty, staff, principals, and pastors who joined together to intentionally grow the mission and ministry of Catholic schools.”
