Superintendent of Catholic Schools Dave Faber and Marketing Communications Coordinator Greg Ghering recently joined the WGVU Morning Show with Shelley Irwin to highlight Catholic education in the Diocese of Grand Rapids.
It was part of an April 22 interview for WGVU’s “School Talk” segment, a regular feature highlighting education in West Michigan.
The conversation covered a range of topics:
- The successful efforts of school leaders, teachers, staff, and families to prioritize safe in-person instruction since the beginning of the school year
- The availability of Welcome Scholarships for new preschool and kindergarten students in 2021-22
- How interested families can contact our admissions team to learn more about enrolling

Catholic schools in the Diocese of Grand Rapids are an alliance of 31 vibrant learning communities (26 elementary and five high schools) serving more than 6,000 preschool through 12th grade students throughout West Michigan. Our schools inspire young people to grow in Catholic faith and grace, achieve more in school and life, develop creativity and character, and feel welcomed and cherished for their unique gifts. We partner with parents to awaken the whole child to a world of light and life — that grows better and brighter when children reach their potential.
