Students from both Catholic Central High School and West Catholic High School in Grand Rapids raised a total of more than $116,000 for tuition assistance for their classmates through the All A's Walk on Wednesday, October 5.
More than 1,000 students walked from their respective campuses to John Ball Park for the event. When they arrived, they were greeted by both schools' marching bands performing together. Bishop David Walkowiak joined students at the park, offering remarks and leading everyone in prayer.
This year's was the 25th annual All A's Walk, a fall tradition through which the Catholic Central and West Catholic communities support scholarships that help hundreds of students each year, in addition to helping limit overall tuition costs for all students.
