Dear friends of Catholic schools,
As we begin this school year, there are exactly nine days between our Back to School Celebration and the first day of school for most of our schools. Please join us in 9 days of prayer (below) - a novena - for the students, their families and all the faculty and school leaders as they make final preparation to begin another 180 days of transformative Catholic education.
Our evangelization and outreach efforts continue to be strong as we return for what we anticipate will be a third consecutive year of growth within our alliance of Catholic schools. This is such good news because this year our theme is centered around the Eucharistic Revival. What a blessing to welcome more students and their families into our schools to learn about and experience what is the source and summit of our faith as Catholics - the Eucharist.
Your prayer support for our Catholic educational ministry helps provide the grace and strength our schools need to succeed in this mission. Participation in the novena is simple. We have chosen to use the National Prayer for Eucharistic Revival each day beginning on August 15, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and ending on August 23, the first day of school for most of our schools.
Thank you,
David A. Faber | Superintendent of Catholic Schools
