Some students from all five Catholic high schools in the Diocese of Grand Rapids are among area pilgrims who traveled to Washington D.C. for the March for Life.
The 45th annual March for Life was Friday, January 19. Pilgrims marched, prayed, peacefully protested the United States Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision which legalized abortion in the U.S., and promoted the gift and sanctity of life.
Catholic Central High School, Sacred Heart Academy and West Catholic High School in Grand Rapids, as well as Muskegon Catholic Central and Portland St. Patrick, had students attending the march. Overall, more than 300 pilgrims from the Diocese of Grand Rapids participated in the March for Life, along with many thousands of others from across the country.
