St. Paul the Apostle alum participating in U.S. Senate Youth Program

US Capitol Building

An alum of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School in Grand Rapids will soon have a unique opportunity to see how the U.S. government works and meet some of the people who lead it.

Luke Koenigsknecht is one of only two Michigan students chosen for the United States Senate Youth Program’s Washington Week, March 2-9. Luke graduated from 8th grade at St. Paul the Apostle in 2015 and is currently a high school senior. He has shown a dedication to academics, athletics, volunteering, and leadership opportunities.

The USSYP Washington Week aims to provide students with deeper knowledge of the U.S. political process and a lifelong commitment to public service. Participants also receive a $10,000 college scholarship.

Congratulations, Luke!
