Rev. David Gross, pastor of St. Mary’s Parish in Spring Lake, is pleased to announce the hiring of Ms. Katie Doyle as school principal. Ms. Doyle began her new role on Aug. 6.

Ms. Doyle most recently served as curriculum and instruction coordinator for the Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky, and has expertise in curriculum design, collaborative school improvement, and professional development design. She taught in Catholic schools for 12 years. She has a bachelor’s degree with double majors in writing intensive English and in sociology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, a master’s in elementary education from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and a master’s in educational leadership with a Catholic concentration from Marian University in Indianapolis.

“The St. Mary’s community is extremely blessed to have found someone with Ms. Doyle’s talents, experience, faith, and passion for Catholic education,” said Father Gross. “I am pleased to welcome her as the principal of our school, and I look forward to working with her to make St. Mary’s the best school in the region.”

"I can already tell that Spring Lake and St. Mary’s School are communities where an innovative educator can make a real impact,” said Ms. Doyle. “Being able to continue answering the call to work in a Catholic school environment is a gift for which I am very grateful."
